“One World, Many Stories!” was the 2011 Summer theme.

Every summer, children in Grades K to 5 are invited to sign up for special activities on Tuesdays at 9:30 and/or Wednesdays at 1:30 pm. Any child may also sign up to participate in the Summer Reading. Each child will have a reading certificate, and by reporting how much is read per week, will be able to choose small prizes and add to the wall display.
There is a pot luck picnic on the last Wednesday at 5:30 PM for all participants and their families.
There is usually a special performance (in 2011 it was by Odds Bodkin, master talesman). In 2012 it will be Tom Sieling. He is a widely acclaimed singer and songwriter from Newfield, New York. His show, “Howl at the Moon with a Wild Thing Tune”, consists of humorous children’s songs that are guaranteed to engage everyone. Tom accompanies himself with guitar, banjo, harmonica, and a drum machine, and all songs include parts for the whole family. All ages are welcome – bring the entire family!
This performance is open to the public, free, and has Handicap access. Sponsored by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services and donations from the Byrne Foundation, CHILIS, the Cogswell Benevolent Trust, the NH Library Association, and the Pillsbury Free Library.
