Free Tutoring and G.E.D. Help

G.E.D.Help – (HiSET in 2014)

If you call 456-2289 we will help you apply for G.E.D. testing (Soon to be High School Exit Test) or find you a free tutor to help you study for the test. Registration and tests are done through Second Start in Concord, but we can help. They also schedule free pretests at the library several times a year.

Note that in January 2014 the G.E.D, will be replaced in NH by the HiSET test by Educational Testing Services. For information see http://hiset.ets.org/test_takers/index.html , including links to  practice tests and a summary of the test elements.

If you had attended High School and might want to try night school to get the rest of the credits needed for a Diploma, you can contact the Adult Diploma Program at Kearsarge Regional High School, 927-4261.

Other Tutoring

Our volunteers can also help people to study for certificates and other diplomas or degrees.

Learn to Read

We can give free help for adults who want to learn to read,  and can find people to teach English to speakers of other languages (ESOL). Call 456-2289 or stop at the library and ask for Louise.

Volunteers welcome

If you would like to volunteer, for tutoring or in other ways, please contact us. Learn more.
